Bank Negara Malaysia has updated its Financial Consumer Alert list, adding 17 companies and websites that are neither authorised nor approved under the laws and regulations it administers. Several of the additions are flagged as “potential clone entities”, indicating possible impersonation of legitimate organisations. The new entries are Trader Pro Investment, SQD Academy, International Global Traders, JAZ Million Resources, Sahabat Gold Machine Trade, MyGlobalTraders, Grand Capital Global Scheme, and Success Market Trading Malaysia Sdn Bhd Scheme. The following were added as potential clone entities: Hap Seng Consolidate Berhad, SJ Securities Sdn Bhd, Arab Investment Company Berhad, M Advisory, Areca Capital Sdn Bhd, SY SUCCESS TRADING MALAYSIA, Adwise Capital Sdn Bhd, Ace Investment Bank, and Fidelity Investment. Bank Negara Malaysia noted that the list is not exhaustive and is intended as a guide based on information and queries received. The list will be updated regularly. Bank Negara Malaysia described potential clone entities as those that may replicate the identity, branding, or operations of legitimate organisations, including by using similar business names, logos, or business registration details.
