The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has qualified TrustAsia Technologies, Inc. to issue verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) credentials to organizations and their authorized representatives. TrustAsia will explore how these credentials could complement signed PDFs and Content Credentials developed by the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA). The work will examine how recipients could verify the legal entity behind digital content and the role or authority of the person acting on its behalf. For PDFs, the exploration will assess adding organizational identity and signer authority information alongside existing document signing certificates, with potential applications in regulatory submissions, corporate reports and contracts. For C2PA Content Credentials, the focus is identifying the organization responsible for content and, where relevant, its authorized representative, including for material created or distributed using artificial intelligence. TrustAsia’s qualification expands the issuer network following GLEIF’s July 2025 approval of TradeGo, whose vLEI applications include digital trade and payments.
