The European Union’s Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA) is inviting technology providers to a roundtable on 30 November 2026 to inform joint guidelines on Partnerships for Information Sharing under Article 75 of the Anti-Money Laundering Regulation. The discussion will examine existing arrangements and practical challenges to support the establishment and operation of partnerships that meet data protection requirements. Article 75 will enable these partnerships from July 2027, allowing obliged entities and, where relevant, competent authorities to share specified information where strictly necessary for customer due diligence and reporting suspicions to Financial Intelligence Units. Participation is limited to 12 providers, with one representative each. Eligible applicants must currently support operational information sharing arrangements for anti-money laundering and countering terrorist financing purposes, demonstrate expertise in privacy-enhancing technologies, and have at least one active or completed engagement, pilot or deployment involving EU-based participants. Expressions of interest are due by 23:59 CET on 13 November 2026. The roundtable is separate from the public consultation on the draft joint guidelines, which is expected in the first half of 2027 and will include a public hearing.
