At Argentina Fintech Forum 2026, Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) Chair Roberto E. Silva reviewed ongoing work to refine regulation and strengthen supervision of virtual asset service providers. He also discussed efforts to broaden opportunities for tokenization projects and extend the regulatory sandbox. The remarks follow the CNV’s October revision of the provider framework, which clarified registration procedures and corporate and net worth requirements, and standardized periodic reporting. Silva described further adjustments based on experience applying the framework, alongside the regulator’s broader effort to simplify capital markets regulation while preserving transparency, market integrity and investor protection. He emphasized coordination with the Central Bank of Argentina and the Financial Information Unit in carrying out this work.
