The Central Bank of Paraguay has outlined arrangements for paying ueno bank S.A. depositors an advance under the Deposit Guarantee Fund of up to 40 minimum wages. Overdue debts owed to the bank will be deducted from that amount. Payments will begin within 24 hours, and the process must be completed within five business days. Depositors with accounts at other domestic financial institutions will receive the advance in the account with the highest available balance. Those without another account will have a savings account opened in their name at a domestic bank or finance company. Email notifications identifying the bank receiving the payment will begin on Nov. 5. In a separate notice, the central bank confirmed that payment aliases linked to ueno bank had been released, allowing customers to associate those identifiers with existing or new accounts in their own names at other institutions.
