CDP has announced a strategic partnership with Brazilian sustainability platform DEEP ESG that brings DEEP ESG into CDP’s Accredited Solutions Providers network in Latin America. The arrangement is aimed at widening small and medium-sized enterprises’ access to environmental management and disclosure practices, particularly where firms face technical and financial barriers to structured reporting even as investors and supply chains demand more reliable data on climate, water, forests and environmental impacts. Under the partnership, DEEP ESG will support companies with greenhouse gas emissions inventories, the structuring of environmental information and preparation for disclosure through CDP using CDP methodologies and guidance. The initiative is also intended to strengthen CDP supplier engagement programs with large organizations by giving smaller suppliers access to tools and support as disclosure expectations rise. CDP linked the move to changes in its SME questionnaire, including new forests and water security metrics and the launch of an A Score for the segment, as well as to broader regulatory developments such as the regulated carbon market, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
