Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) announced the conclusion of its final regional “prequel” event ahead of the 18th National Financial Education Week (SNEF) 2025, closing a university-focused national tour delivered with Banorte and transitioning to the national opening and online programme. The pre-event cycle covered Puebla, Guadalajara, Querétaro and Nuevo León, bringing in-person financial education sessions to university students. The Monterrey programme included talks on testing personal financial skills, building wealth with exchange-traded funds (ETFs), personal retirement plans (PPR) and bank cybersecurity. CONDUSEF linked the initiative to findings from Mexico’s 2023 National Survey on Financial Health, including that 52.0% of adults report having some form of savings, 36.2% have some form of debt and 45.9% almost never or never have money left at the end of the month. SNEF 2025 is scheduled to be officially inaugurated on 23 October at the Monument to the Revolution in Mexico City, alongside a digital edition running from 20 October to 31 December with online conferences, interactive workshops and financial education tools.
