The Qatar Ministry of Finance reported that Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Dr Saud bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah took part by videoconference in the 75th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Finance of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. The meeting reviewed regional work across central banking, customs, tax, free trade negotiations and the programme for achieving economic unity, with participants stressing continued coordination to support economic and developmental integration among member states. Items discussed included the outcomes of the 86th meeting of the Committee of Governors of Central Banks of the GCC, the results of meetings of the GCC Customs Union Authority and the outcomes of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Departments of the GCC. Officials also reviewed a General Secretariat report on measures taken in light of the current circumstances, progress in negotiations on free trade agreements between the GCC and other countries and international blocs, and other issues of common interest to GCC states.
