The National Bank of Georgia reported that Governor Natia Turnava met Hungary’s new ambassador to Georgia, Dr. Petra Ponevács-Pana, and discussed ways to deepen bilateral central bank cooperation, including a planned Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Bank of Georgia and the Central Bank of Hungary. The MoU is expected to create an institutional framework for strengthening cooperation in payment systems, financial services and the exchange of best practices, alongside discussions on projects aimed at deepening regional cooperation. The meeting also included Dominik Kári, Economic Counsellor at the Embassy of Hungary, and Giorgi Edilashvili, Head of the International Relations Department at the National Bank of Georgia.
