The China Securities Regulatory Commission reported that Chairman and Party Secretary Wu Qing convened a roundtable with listed company executives and securities and fund industry experts to discuss capital market and financial conditions. Participants viewed the market as broadly stable despite ongoing risks and proposed measures to support its healthy development, but the commission did not announce policy decisions. Recommendations included strengthening market stabilization mechanisms, broadening the sources and market access channels for medium and long-term funds, and expanding patient capital. Participants also proposed encouraging eligible listed companies to increase dividends and share buybacks, improving investor returns and rights protection, optimizing issuance and listing arrangements for diverse high-quality companies, strengthening trading supervision and cross-border risk monitoring, and preparing additional policy tools. The discussion follows similar commission meetings in July that sought market feedback on stability, long-term investment and foundational reforms.
