Poland's Ministry of Finance reported on an informal meeting of EU member state financial services attachés held in Warsaw on 7-8 April, aimed at strengthening coordination on financial services legislative projects. Discussions focused on measures intended to reduce administrative barriers, simplify rules and strengthen consumer protection. Participants included representatives from domestic and international financial institutions, including the European Investment Bank, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the Polish Development Fund and the Polish Bank Association. Delegates also received presentations on cyber resilience, cybersecurity and operational continuity practices, and discussed the Saving and Investment Union, including savings products, alongside Polish banking-sector payment innovations and anti-money laundering challenges. The ministry noted that the informal attaché meeting is held every six months in the member state holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
