The Bank of Italy announced that it will host a conference in Rome on 24–25 September 2026 titled “Macroeconomic Modelling in Times of Uncertainty”, focused on new approaches to modelling and estimating the effects of rising uncertainty. The agenda will cover how uncertainty affects the economy through firms’ and households’ decisions, the transmission of monetary and fiscal policy, and implications for macroeconomic forecasting and scenario analysis. Research papers must be submitted by 15 April 2026, with authors of accepted papers to be notified by 15 June 2026.
