Moldova’s Ministry of Finance has published an update on the Agricultural Credit Facility Program, which financed 821 micro and small agricultural businesses between March 2025 and September 2026. Total resources on-lent through the program reached MDL 701.24 million, accompanied by MDL 68.98 million in grants. In September, 52 businesses received MDL 45.59 million in financing and MDL 3.29 million in grants. Financing primarily supported equipment for conventional and conservation agriculture, post-harvest processing machinery and agricultural working capital. A grant-free working capital component introduced on April 9, 2026, has financed 125 businesses with MDL 50.77 million and provides up to MDL 500,000 per beneficiary. The program offers Moldovan leu financing at a fixed annual interest rate of 5.1%. A further MDL 84 million remains available for eligible loans in 2026, together with MDL 15.02 million for associated grants.
