The Belgium Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) published findings from a study of 1,000 people aged 18 to 25, released in the context of the tenth anniversary of Money Week, indicating that young adults want to learn more about money matters at school. Respondents expressed the strongest interest in cryptocurrencies, with taxes, budgeting and investing also featuring prominently among topics they would like covered. The survey was conducted by market research agency Profacts via an online questionnaire between 24 January and 14 February 2025, covering participants in Flanders, Wallonia and the Brussels Capital Region. Over the coming years, the FSMA plans to continue developing targeted financial education initiatives for this age group through Wikifin, its financial education programme.
