The Angola Capital Markets Commission has launched a project to automate the periodic reporting of financial information by capital markets entities it supervises, including the creation of a regulatory sandbox to test automated data submissions. The initiative is positioned as part of the Commission’s ongoing information-gathering to support control, transparency and efficiency in the national financial system, and to help identify, prevent and mitigate systemic risks that could affect market stability and integrity. The sandbox will provide a testing environment to simulate and assess the automatic submission of data and the technological solutions to be implemented, with attention to technology developments and information security. Implementation is planned in multiple phases, with the regulatory sandbox forming one of those phases.
