The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance has launched a call for input on Open Insurance (OPIN) via the Brasil Participativo platform, as part of a working group established by an SUSEP ordinance. The initiative seeks contributions from ecosystem participants and other stakeholders to support the assessment and potential refinement of OPIN’s structural, operational and regulatory framework in Brazil. The request for input covers five areas: governance structure, including roles, responsibilities, decision-making and coordination; participation in Open Insurance, including challenges and incentives for joining and remaining in the ecosystem; journey certifications, focusing on user experience, security and proportionality of requirements; interoperability, including technical standards, data sharing and participant integration; and system monitoring, including metrics, indicators, transparency and reporting tied to stability and performance. Contributions can be submitted through the Brasil Participativo platform until 5 April 2026.
