The Central Bank of Peru published figures showing Peru’s non-traditional agricultural exports reached a new monthly high in November 2024. Export sales totalled USD 1.476 billion, up 24.2% from November 2023. The November outturn exceeded October’s level, which had been the previous peak. Average export volumes rose 27.1% year on year, supported by a recovery in fruit production including mango, blueberry and grape after climate-related disruptions in the prior year, alongside higher exports of products such as shrimp and paprika, while the average export price fell 2.3% due to increased Peruvian supply in global markets. For January to November, non-traditional agricultural exports totalled USD 9.763 billion, up 21.1% from USD 8.062 billion a year earlier, driven mainly by higher prices (19.9%) and to a lesser extent higher volumes (1%).
