The Oman Financial Services Authority held a meeting with insurance companies and healthcare institutions to prepare for the second phase of the National Health Insurance Platform, Dhamani. The next phase will allow healthcare providers and insurers to exchange medical documents, including x-rays and prescriptions. As of end-May 2025, Dhamani had processed more than four million transactions and connected all insurance companies with 33 private hospitals, 37 medical complexes, 20 clinics and 44 health centres. The platform processes around 40,000 transactions per day and serves more than 650,000 policyholders, with the FSA emphasising the benefits of the system and the need for digital integration across the healthcare and insurance sectors.
