The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority participated in the 25th annual employment and training forum organised by Cairo University’s Faculty of Economics and Political Science, using the event to promote non-banking financial literacy and highlight training and career routes into the non-banking financial services sector. In opening remarks, Assistant Chairman Mohamed Abdel Aziz argued that strengthening young people’s skills and understanding of non-banking financial services supports their integration into the labour market and facilitates access to financing to start or expand projects. The intervention highlighted the Authority’s ongoing work to raise awareness of non-banking financial services across society, including youth, aligned with its strategy to promote financial, investment and insurance inclusion. At the FRA’s forum stand, staff outlined the regulator’s role in developing, supervising and overseeing non-banking financial services to protect users’ rights, and presented student training programmes alongside professional qualification and employment opportunities for graduates. Abdel Aziz also signalled interest in establishing a scientific institute or specialised centre at Cairo University in the near future focused on labour-market requirements in the non-banking financial sector, in cooperation with professional and international entities. The Authority noted this was its second consecutive year participating in the forum.
