The Central Bank of Peru reported that non-traditional agricultural exports reached USD 1.182bn in August 2025, a 26.6% increase from a year earlier, driven by a 48.3% rise in exported volumes. Volume growth reflected higher shipments of blueberries (up 145.3% year on year), avocados (up 53.5%), frozen mango (up 204.6%), other frozen fruits (up 58.3%) and cocoa (up 9.8%). Average export prices fell 14.7%, which the release linked to greater global supply of Peruvian fruits. From January to August 2025, non-traditional agricultural exports totalled USD 7.138bn, up 21.1% from USD 5.894bn in the same period of the prior year, alongside a 21.7% increase in volumes; cocoa manufactures such as cocoa butter and chocolate accounted for 7.4% of the sector’s increase in export value.
