The Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority used the launch of a two-day eMPF Carnival to highlight that the eMPF Platform completed onboarding of all Mandatory Provident Fund schemes at the end of April and is now fully operational. The platform now serves as a one-stop electronic system for scheme members to manage their MPF accounts digitally. At the ceremony, the authority said all 24 MPF schemes offered by 12 trustees, covering more than 10 million MPF accounts, have moved onto eMPF. Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the project was designed to streamline procedures, reduce time and fees, enhance transparency of MPF schemes, and improve efficiency. MPFA and eMPF Platform Company Chairman Ayesha Macpherson Lau described eMPF as the most significant reform to the MPF system in the past 25 years and urged employers and scheme members to register and use the platform. The carnival runs for two days from 9 May and includes information booths, interactive activities, and an on-site registration counter to support public sign-up and answer enquiries.
