The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) published the final anniversary edition of its IQ magazine, setting out themes it expects to shape derivatives markets in coming years and reflecting on how standardization has supported market evolution. The edition points to growing derivatives activity in emerging market and developing economies, continued regulatory scrutiny of non-bank financial intermediation, and rapid advances in technology. It highlights ISDA’s work on digital market infrastructure, including the Digital Regulatory Reporting initiative and the ISDA Notices Hub, which launched in July, as well as tokenization efforts aimed at expanding collateral management options. The publication also includes a timeline covering developments since 2015, an interview with ISDA chair Amy Hong, contributed articles on key market trends, and notes Saudi Arabia’s recognition of close-out netting in law as the last of the G-20 nations to do so.
