The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has published the findings of a thematic review assessing compliance with key elements of the Financial Services Rule Book 2016 relating to firms’ regulatory registers. The report summarises observed good practice and areas for improvement, and is intended to help the Authority refine its view of risk at both firm and sector level. The review combined a questionnaire with desk-based inspections covering low impact firms and professional officers supervised by the Authority’s Portfolio Division. It examined how selected Island firms are meeting Rule Book requirements for registers covering Conflicts of Interest, Complaints, Breaches and Pricing Errors, and includes the Authority’s observations on the data and findings from two phases of the project.
