The Insurance Commission of the Bahamas announced its participation in the United Nations Development Programme Sustainable Insurance Forum biannual meeting in Tirana, Albania, marking its first attendance as a new member of the network of insurance supervisors focused on sustainability-related supervisory challenges. Held alongside the International Association of Insurance Supervisors Annual Conference, the meeting reviewed the proposed 2026–2027 strategy and aligned priorities for the Forum’s next phase, while also initiating preparations for the Sustainable Insurance Forum’s 10th anniversary in 2026. The Commission noted that the session was chaired by Fundi Tshazibana, Deputy Governor of the South African Reserve Bank, following her appointment as Chair of the Sustainable Insurance Forum.
