The Argentina Securities Commission reported that its chair, Roberto E. Silva, spoke at a Public College of Lawyers of the Federal Capital roundtable on regulatory challenges posed by cryptoassets for anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and counter-proliferation financing. Silva used the session to present the CNV’s recent regulatory initiatives, including its rules for Virtual Asset Service Providers and its tokenisation framework. He described the Virtual Asset Service Provider regime as already sanctioned and developed with input from sector participants, and framed it alongside the tokenisation rules as positioning Argentina at the forefront of virtual asset regulation. The event was opened by CPACF president Ricardo Gil Lavedra, included remarks by CPACF coordinator Agustín Pesce, and was attended by CNV board director Manuel Calderón.
