The Canadian Bankers Association has published updated consumer education resources for Fraud Prevention Month, including an enhanced fraud prevention toolkit and a new online quiz to help Canadians identify scams. The materials are designed to provide practical guidance on recognising red flags, protecting personal information and understanding what banks will never ask customers to share. The CBA also highlighted emerging threats, including AI-driven scams, and noted that the toolkit and “What your bank will NEVER ask you” quiz sit alongside its monthly newsletter on fraud and scam trends. The initiative aligns with the national Fraud Prevention Month campaign led by the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, the Competition Bureau Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
