The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) announced that its chair, Mohamed Farid, visited the National Training Academy to advance a partnership focused on building human capital across Egypt’s non-banking financial sector, including the design of specialised training programmes to keep pace with rapid developments in non-banking financial activities. Discussions with the Academy’s chief executive, Salafa Jouaily, and deputy chief executive, Taher Nasr, covered cooperation mechanisms and programme design to raise staff competence, alongside joint efforts to strengthen public awareness of the sector’s role in supporting sustainable economic development. Farid linked the initiative to the FRA’s broader focus on skills development as a foundation for market efficiency, governance standards and innovation, while Jouaily indicated the Academy would deploy its capabilities to deliver tailored programmes for the sector. The FRA and the Academy agreed to translate the discussions into joint implementation workplans ahead of launching a package of specialised programmes in the coming period. The FRA also referenced other 2025 training initiatives, including a cooperation protocol with the Court of Cassation, a comprehensive training strategy for Egypt’s insurance sector launched in September 2025, the seventh cycle of the Certified Financial Accredited Trainer (CFAT) programme delivered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and a memorandum of understanding between its Financial Services Institute and Bayes Business School at the University of London.
