The Bank of Italy announced that it will host, with the European Central Bank and the World Bank, the fourth conference "Trade, value chains and financial linkages in the global economy" in Rome on 15–16 December 2025, alongside a call for papers. The conference will feature theoretical, empirical and methodological research on trade, industrial and climate policies and firms’ strategic responses, the reconfiguration of global value chains and competitive and pricing strategies, the role of multinational corporations, trade and supply-chain finance, transportation and logistics costs and trade routes, and digital trade including international data flows, services and artificial intelligence, as well as the exchange of critical inputs such as energy, minerals for the green transition and advanced technologies. Keynote lectures are scheduled from Meredith Crowley (Cambridge University) and Alberto Cavallo (Harvard Business School), and the scientific committee includes Maria Grazia Attinasi, Alessandro Borin, Claire Giordano, Michele Mancini and Daria Taglioni.
