Mexico's National Banking and Securities Commission published a joint press release presenting results from the 2024 National Financial Inclusion Survey (ENIF 2024), reporting that around eight in ten people held at least one financial product such as a savings account, credit, insurance or an AFORE. The release indicates financial inclusion increased by 8.7 percentage points compared with 2021. By gender, 72.8% of women and 80.9% of men had at least one financial product. The share of people with accounts contracted via the internet or non-bank applications rose by 7.6 percentage points since 2021.
