The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission has outlined its 2026 operating policy for the Road Accident Victims Protection Fund during a training program for 146 managers, staff, specialists and fund personnel from central and regional offices. The update focuses on developing a new generation of insurance specialists to strengthen protection for motor accident victims through faster access to rights, wider use of data and digital tools, and more consistent nationwide operations. The Office framed staff development as central to improving the protection system, particularly by building capabilities in legal knowledge, digital technology, data analysis and coordination with government agencies, the insurance sector and other partners. It also stressed quicker assistance for victims, data- and technology-based fund management, and stronger alignment across fund personnel nationwide. Alongside the workshop, the Office held a performance review and experience-sharing session to discuss operating approaches, obstacles and best practices, and linked the initiative to its broader push for data-driven regulation, including digital systems such as e-Policy and connections with government databases. Training activities also covered leadership, positive communication, teamwork and exchanges between headquarters, regional and provincial offices to strengthen working networks and translate the policy approach into day-to-day operations.
