The Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) has published its first individual firm inspection reports, making firm-level inspection outcomes publicly available for registered public accounting firms that audit Canadian reporting issuers. Additional reports will be posted on an ongoing basis through CPAB’s website. This firm-by-firm disclosure builds on CPAB’s recent transparency measures, including public disclosure of significant enforcement actions and unresolved recommendations, and requirements for firms to share issuer-specific inspection findings with audit committees. CPAB linked these disclosure enhancements to extensive public consultation and related rule and legislative amendments completed in March 2025. CPAB indicated that future inspection reports will continue to be published as they are released, with updates available through its CPAB Express newsletter service.
