The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) announced that the Asociación de Bancos Privados de Bolivia (ASOBAN) has joined as its newest member, bringing the network to 103 member institutions across 74 countries. Established in 1957, ASOBAN represents most of Bolivia’s private banking sector and aims to promote a sound, efficient and inclusive financial system. The announcement notes that ASOBAN has been integrating sustainable finance into its agenda through dialogue on environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria, promoting financial inclusion, and collaborating with national and international institutions. With ASOBAN’s entry, SBFN reports 27 member institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
