The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) launched its Financial Literacy Month 2025 campaign for November, themed “Talk Money”, encouraging Canadians to discuss personal finances to help reduce stigma and support better financial outcomes. The campaign points to evidence that talking about money can boost financial confidence, citing FCAC’s earlier report, From Clicks to Confidence, which found that prompting young women to reflect on and discuss their finances improved confidence and positive financial behaviours. FCAC also invited Canadians to join a social media “$15 Stretch Challenge” by sharing how they made CAD 15 go further, using the hashtags #FLM2025 and #TalkMoney, and published practical tools and a promotional toolkit, including a new toolkit tailored to libraries and community organizations.
