Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) renewed the “Sáasil” badge for Seguros Monterrey New York Life, recognising its “Vida Mujer” insurance product as a gender-focused offering designed around women’s financial and protection needs. Launched in 2023, the Sáasil badge is intended to recognise financial institutions that show real, measurable and sustained efforts to incorporate a gender perspective into product design, internal policies and organisational culture, with the goal of expanding women-oriented financial products and raising quality standards. CONDUSEF highlighted Vida Mujer’s coverage for gynaecological conditions, economic protection linked to obstetric and neonatal events, and protection for death and total or permanent disability, alongside clear, accessible and non-discriminatory terms and gender-focused financial education aimed at economic autonomy and wealth planning. CONDUSEF used the renewal to encourage more financial institutions to adopt a gender perspective in the design of financial products.
