The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), in partnership with the Arab Monetary Fund and the World Bank, announced it will host the MENA Leaders’ Summit on Financial Inclusion 2025 in Abu Dhabi on 17–18 November 2025. Held for the first time in the UAE under the theme “Shaping Regional and Global Agendas”, the event will include the official launch of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion 2026–2030. The two-day programme will bring together ministers, central bank governors, and heads of financial regulatory and supervisory authorities from across the MENA region, alongside international organisations and development institutions, as well as CEOs of financial institutions and fintech companies. Agenda items include panels on expanding digital financial services, women’s financial health and economic empowerment, and financial literacy, plus a “Next Generation Forum for Financial Inclusion” focused on forward-looking policy and leadership, with an audience of more than 200 senior representatives. The summit is also set to include the presentation of the Arab regional edition of the Global Findex Database and the announcement that the UAE has been awarded to host Global Money Week 2026. At the conclusion of the event, the “Abu Dhabi Principles for Digital Financial Inclusion” are expected to be issued, led by the Arab Monetary Fund with support from the CBUAE and the World Bank.
