The Taiwan Financial Services Commission published updated statistics showing domestic banks’ outstanding loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) reached NT$10,683.5 billion by end-July 2025, up NT$114.5 billion from end-June. SME loans represented 63.95% of total enterprise lending and 67.57% of lending to private enterprises, down 0.78 and 0.99 percentage points respectively from end-June. The average non-performing loan (NPL) ratio for SME loans stood at 0.22% in July 2025, an increase of 0.01 percentage points compared with end-June.

The Taiwan Financial Services Commission reported that domestic banks' loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) totaled NT$10,683.5 billion by end-July 2025, an increase of NT$114.5 billion from end-June. SME loans accounted for 63.95% of total enterprise lending and 67.57% of lending to private enterprises, with slight decreases from the previous month. The average non-performing loan ratio for SME loans rose to 0.22% in July 2025.
