Ireland's Department of Finance, jointly with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, published an update marking a site visit by the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris, to an HBFI-funded mixed-tenure residential development in Drogheda led by Manley Homes, with capacity for up to 663 homes. The scheme has delivered 425 homes to date, with a further 76 under construction and a potential additional 162 units in the pipeline. Delivery includes 395 homes for the private market, 30 units handed over to Meath County Council in March 2026 with a further 26 under construction for the council, and 50 units being developed for sale to Oaklee Approved Housing Body with an expected handover in September 2026. The release also highlighted Home Building Finance Ireland’s wider footprint since 2019, including over EUR 3.3 billion of approved funding with potential to support nearly 17,000 homes across 233 developments in 25 counties, with 82% of loans at EUR 20 million or less and over 40% of supported homes being social and affordable, alongside an additional EUR 200 million in funding secured in 2026.

Ireland’s Department of Finance reported on progress at a Home Building Finance Ireland-funded mixed-tenure residential development in Drogheda, which has delivered 425 homes to date, with 76 under construction and a further 162 in the pipeline. The update also noted HBFI’s broader activity since 2019, with over EUR 3.3 billion in approved funding to support nearly 17,000 homes across 233 developments nationwide, over 40% of which are social and affordable, and an additional EUR 200 million in funding secured for 2026.
