The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has named 42 finalists for the 2026 Global FinTech Hackcelerator and Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) FinTech Excellence Awards, following the application launch in June. The shortlist comprises 18 Hackcelerator finalists with market-ready solutions to industry challenges and 24 Excellence Awards finalists across six categories. Winners will be announced on 19 November 2026. The Hackcelerator finalists address three challenges contributed by GXS Bank, Julius Baer and Zurich Insurance: integrating credit and fraud risk modelling in digital banking, adapting wealth management for a digitally native generation, and helping small and medium-sized enterprises assess and manage business risk exposure. They will present their solutions at Demo Day on 18 November 2026. One winner for each challenge will receive SGD 80,000. Finalists can also explore pilot engagements with their respective industry partners and apply for the GFH Scale-up Grant, which provides follow-on funding for solution development, commercial milestones and establishing a presence in Singapore. The Excellence Awards, jointly organised with the Singapore FinTech Association and supported by PwC Singapore, recognise corporate and individual contributions to financial technology and innovation in financial services. Four finalists were selected in each of the five corporate categories and in the individual FinTech Mentor Award category.
