France's Financial Markets Authority (AMF) has awarded its 2024 Young Researcher in Economics prize to Maxime Bonelli, an assistant professor at London Business School, recognising research that uses innovative techniques on topics of specific interest to the market regulator. The EUR 5,000 prize, launched in 2015, is intended to reward and encourage financial economics research by scholars under 35 on themes linked to regulation and markets. Bonelli’s work covers developments in asset management, including the integration of artificial intelligence tools, biases in investment-adviser recommendations, strategic marketing by asset management firms, and the mobility of portfolio managers within the financial industry. The award will be presented at the AMF Scientific Council meeting on 7 February 2025, where Bonelli will present his research.
