Payments Canada announced three new appointments and three reappointments to its Stakeholder Advisory Council (SAC), with terms effective April 1, 2026. SAC provides advice and counsel to Payments Canada’s leadership, employees and Board of Directors on key elements shaping the future of payments, and the Board reviewed and approved the appointments in consultation with the Minister of Finance. New members are Heather Lamont (SVP Customer Experience and Co-Founder, Tuhk Inc.), Alfredo Lanzillotta (Principal Solutions Consultant, OpenText) and Emily Seng Yue (VP, Performance and Innovation, Canada Life). Returning members are Jordan Grant (Vice President Sales, Temenos), Ryan McLeod (Executive Director, Treasury Operations, Government of Alberta) and Kathleen Woodard (Managing Director, Banking Industry, Microsoft). SAC represents stakeholders that rely on Payments Canada’s payment systems but do not participate in them directly, drawing experience from sectors including retail, consumer groups, government, fintech, technology, telecommunications, software and banking. Payments Canada said its call for nominations for SAC’s 2027 intake will open in Fall 2026.

Payments Canada announced three new appointments and three reappointments to its Stakeholder Advisory Council, with terms effective April 1, 2026, following Board approval in consultation with the Minister of Finance. The Council advises Payments Canada’s leadership and Board on key elements shaping the future of payments and represents non-participant stakeholders across sectors including retail, consumer groups, government, fintech, technology, telecommunications, software and banking.
