During the Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) delegation led by Governor Jasmina Selimović met senior officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank to discuss macroeconomic trends, financial and monetary stability, and cooperation with the two institutions. With the IMF, discussions included the initiative to establish the South East Europe Technical Assistance Center (SEETAC) in Rome, with IMF counterparts requesting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s active contribution and highlighting that the centre would provide Western Balkan countries with technical assistance, training and advisory support in monetary policy, financial stability and supervision. With the World Bank, the CBBH discussed continued support for development projects and economic reforms and outlined ongoing capacity-building and financial sector modernisation work aimed at joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), including the importance of the Reimbursable Advisory Services (RAS) project. The CBBH delegation planned further bilateral meetings with other central banks and participation in sessions on financial education, digital fraud and related topics.
