The China Securities Regulatory Commission has opened a public consultation on draft Guidelines for the Content and Format of Information Disclosure of Publicly Offered Securities Investment Funds No. 2, aiming to unify and update disclosure requirements for periodic fund reports. The draft integrates and revises the existing disclosure guidelines for annual, semi-annual and quarterly reports into a single framework. It includes three chapters and 36 articles, consolidates overlapping disclosures across report types, introduces more tailored disclosure requirements reflecting the different purposes of annual, semi-annual and quarterly reporting, and simplifies or adjusts certain requirements drawing on higher-level regulatory requirements, industry practice and experience from mature overseas markets. It also authorizes the Asset Management Association to develop an Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) template consistent with the standards for information disclosure activities. Following the consultation, the CSRC will further refine the Guidelines and complete the relevant procedures based on the feedback received.
