The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority has published survey findings showing that around half of Swedish fund savers do not know what fund fee they pay, and announced it will publish quarterly median fees for selected popular fund categories to support consumer price comparison. For the first quarter of 2025, the median fee was 1.30% for actively managed Sweden funds, 0.25% for Sweden index funds, 1.30% for actively managed global funds, and 0.35% for global index funds. The authority highlighted that the main cost is typically the management fee, charged as a percentage of assets under management, and directed consumers to a fund’s factsheet for information on ongoing charges, objectives, other fees and historical performance. The survey was conducted with Origo Group among more than 1,000 Swedes in February 2025, and found even fewer investors compare fund fees regularly.
