At the YFI Hackathon held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Head Office on 02 April 2025, Polytechnic University of the Philippines Manila won first place for “AniKansya,” a proposed digital platform aimed at helping Filipino farmers access financial products and services. Other awardees included “PURSE” for persons with disabilities (2nd), “SMS Fraud Checker” to detect scam texts (3rd), “MigoPay” for offline-capable payments for fisherfolk (4th), and “TeknOffline” for near-field communication e-wallet transactions in low-connectivity areas (5th). Separately, the first YFI Ambassadors from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao were introduced, with action plans covering campus digital payments promotion, financial literacy seminars, and student-focused budgeting and savings apps, as part of the YFI Initiative aligned with the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion 2022–2028.
