The National Bank of Serbia announced that a plenary meeting at the central bank has launched official discussions between Serbia’s authorities and an International Monetary Fund mission for the third review of the economic programme supported by the IMF’s Policy Coordination Instrument. The Serbian delegation is led by Jorgovanka Tabaković, Governor of the National Bank of Serbia and Serbia’s Governor at the IMF, with participation from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and a representative of the Ministry of Economy. The talks will cover recent macroeconomic developments, the outlook and risks, and key issues related to programme implementation and reform progress. The first and second reviews were completed in June and December 2025 through IMF Executive Board decisions, and the instrument is described as advisory and not involving the use of financial resources. The IMF mission, led by Annette Kyobe, will be in Belgrade until 5 May.
