The Guernsey Financial Services Commission published a sanctions notice advising that the United Nations Security Council Committee concerning ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida has removed HAJJAJ BIN FAHD AL AJMI (QDi.328) from its sanctions list. As a result, the asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of United Nations Security Council resolution 2734 (2024) no longer apply to that entry. The United Nations Security Council Consolidated List has been updated. The notice also states that changes to the UN Consolidated List are automatically effective in the UK under the Sudan (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 and are given effect in the Bailiwick of Guernsey under the Sanctions (Implementation of UK Regimes) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Brexit) Regulations 2020 made under the Sanctions (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2018.
