The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston announced that Karen Emis-Williams and Brian Gottlob have joined the advisory board of the New England Public Policy Center (NEPPC), the Bank’s regional research center within its Research department. The advisory board provides input on emerging research topics and on how NEPPC should share evidence-based findings with policy leaders across New England. Both appointees are based in New Hampshire and bring expertise in economic data and state fiscal and housing policy. Emis-Williams is director of Concord Human Services for the city of Concord and oversees implementation of a New Hampshire statute requiring the city to provide financial assistance to individuals and families unable to meet basic needs, and she also serves on the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute. Gottlob leads New Hampshire’s Economic & Labor Market Information Bureau within New Hampshire Employment Security, which develops and disseminates labor market information, and he is also principal of PolEcon Research. NEPPC was founded in 2005, and the advisory board, created in 2006, includes representatives from each New England state.
