The discussion, organised by Georgetown’s Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy and attended by representatives of international financial institutions, investment banks, major infrastructure companies and public authorities, focused on implementation challenges for PPPs. Topics included political and regulatory risks, currency and financial risks, demand uncertainty and ESG factors, alongside exchanges on successful PPP experience, mechanisms to expand private-sector participation, and the role of international financial institutions. The roundtable also developed recommendations on introducing effective PPP models in infrastructure, strengthening cooperation between banks and institutional investors, and improving the quality of project preparation and execution.
