The Central Reserve Bank of Peru published trade data showing strong year-on-year growth in non-traditional exports in January 2025, led by agrarian products and supported by continued expansion in textiles. Non-traditional agrarian exports totalled USD 1,247 million, up 28.5% from January 2024, while non-traditional textile exports reached USD 137 million, up 9.5%. For agrarian products, export volumes rose 29.3% year on year, driven by higher sales of mangoes (up 243.1%), grapes (up 64.9%), and cocoa (up 19.2%), with some products recovering from the impact of 2023 climate anomalies. In textiles, export volumes increased 8.2% year on year for a tenth consecutive month, mainly reflecting higher exports of cotton apparel to the United States and Germany and fabric shipments to Colombia; the average export price rose 1.2% year on year.
