The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa) and Croatia’s Ministry of Finance have announced that applications for the RoadToMarket sandbox will run from Oct. 20 to Dec. 5, 2026. The educational and simulation programme gives companies a free external assessment of their readiness for financing through venture capital, private equity, bond issuance or an initial public offering. The application window follows preparations for the programme’s operational rollout, with participation intended to help companies choose suitable financing routes rather than necessarily pursue a stock exchange listing. Companies of different sizes and development stages can participate, including businesses planning expansion, seeking investment partners or addressing succession challenges. Following an initial assessment, each company receives a tailored team that includes at least one financial and one legal professional. The team reviews the company’s business model, financial position and capital structure, alongside its governance and growth plans. A structured diagnostic report assesses readiness for specific financing options, identifies areas for improvement and recommends possible next steps. Participation is confidential and carries no obligation to complete a transaction or access the capital market. The programme draws on a network of 51 institutional and professional partners.
